Senior Investiture 2022-23

DPS, Azaad Nagar, Kanpur organized its Investiture Ceremony for the Session 2022 – 2023 on 27th August 2022. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Ms. Mohita Miglani, Project Manager, Educational Services, Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhawan. Pro-Vice Chairperson of the school Mrs. Bandana Misra. Founder DPS, Kanpur Mr. Alok Misra and Member Managing Committee Mr. Devavrata Misra graced the occasion as the Guests of Honour. The Director of the school Mrs. Rachna Mohotra was also present on the occasion. The Principal of the school, Mrs. Punita Kapoor welcomed the esteemed guests. The parents of senior students were also present to witness the ceremony.
The objective of the event is to discover and nurture the leadership qualities in the youth. The Investiture Ceremony conducted on 27th August 2022 involved the induction of student leaders at Senior Levels.
The Induction Ceremony of the Senior School began with the induction of the Student Government Association (SGA) or the Student Parliament which is comprised of 8 Ministries: Home, Foreign, Cultural, Finance, Environment, Sports, Education and the Discipline Squad. Each Ministry consist of Class XI students who work under the Senior Office Bearers of Class XII to look into various facets of school life to ensure smooth functioning of the school, aiding the teachers.
Ana Mohanty and Shreyas Kumar Singh were inducted as the Head Girl and Head Boy of the school respectively. Inorder to look into the academic related affairs Academic Captains Priyansh Patni, Priyali Badal and Eshika Tripathi were presented with their badges and sashes. DPS, Azaad Nagar is renowned for discipline and for that Discipline Incharges of the Academic Session 2022 – 2023 Tulika Srivastava, Deepansh Srivastava and Amulya Mohan were appointed. Cultural Events held in the school require the able leadership of Cultural secretaries. This year Vaishnavi Gupta and Purvi S Chauhan shall carry forward the cultural legacy of the school.
The Captains of the 4 houses were presented with their badges and their house flags. For Blubells House, Yashwardhan Singh Rathore and Jahanvi Tayal received the honour. Ananyaa Mishra and Harshit Sharma were declared the Daffodils House Captains while Shamrock House would be led by Aakarshak Diwakar and Sanskriti Gupta, Prayatshu Misra and Yashasvi Kushwaha received their honours to lead the Tulips House.
Priyanshu Maheshwari and Shreeja Saini were accorded the honour of being the Sports Captains.
