Basic Life Support Skills Workshop 2022-23

At DPS Azaad Nagar, it is the prerogative to organize events and workshops from time to time in order to create awareness among students regarding various safety measures so that they can become responsible citizens.
In recent times, there has been a significant increase in various health issues such as high blood pressure, cardiac problems and other diseases due to family and work related stress. In such a situation, it becomes necessary for everyone to be equipped with a knowledge of life – saving processes and have the ability to use them whenever necessary.
Such incidents are not natural and can occur anytime around us. We can help people in such times if we know about these life saving measures. Not only this, we can also save lives.
In this context, a workshop was organised today at Delhi Public School Azaad Nagar from 9:00 a.m. The workshop was conducted by : Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kumar Verma, former President Indian Society of Anesthesiologists, Dr. S.M. Shukla, former President, I.S.A. Kanpur Nagar, Prof. (Dr.) Chandrashekhar Singh, Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Arya, former Head of the Department obstetrics and gynaecology, Rani Durgawati College, Banda, Dr. Chandani, Consultant Intensive Care, Chandani Hospital, Kanpur and Assistant Prof. Dr. Neha Mishra.
In the workshop, the students were given training to respond to emergencies such as CPR, accidental drowning and fire and road mishaps. The workshop was attended by around 200 students.
The Principal DPS Azaad Nagar Mrs. Punita Kapoor played a pivotal role in the successful conduction of the workshop as the school became the first to have organised such an event.
